A chart divided into Jerusalem Past present and future.  Put each of the 764 references under appropriate heading.with brief explanation of why verse is un column it is.

WEEK TWO: Salem and Jerusalem

Read Genesis 14:17-24, Psalm 76, Psalm 110

Supplemental Reading: Hebrews 5:6; 6:20; 7:17 and 21
How does Melchizedek play into understanding Salem/Jerusalem?

Write a 2-page paper on How we determine Genesis 14:18 is truly Jerusalem (using passages from this weeks reading.)

Read II Samuel 5

Write a 4-page paper on How David and his men captured the Jebuisite stronghold of Jerusalem and make it the political capital of the Jewish people.

WEEK FOUR: Jerusalem, Spiritual Capital

Read: II Samuel 6
Deliverables:  Detail how King David made Jerusalem the spiritual capital of the Jewish people and when this took place in history and how that is significant.  Include the geo-political events surrounding at that time in history.

Read II Samuel 7

Deliverables:

Explain how the Davidic Covenant establish Jerusalem as the eternal capital of the Jewish people.  How does Jeremiah 33:17-26 interact with His covenant Promise?

WEEK SIX: Jerusalem's Destruction and Dispersion


Read II Chronicles 36 and Luke 21

Deliverables: Write a brief history on the first destruction of the city of Jerusalem and dispersion of the Jewish people (II Chronicles 36), and the last (Luke 21). Include the geo-political contemporary events.

Explain Luke 21:24 and its fulfillment using Daniel 2; 7; a definition of the times of the Gentiles the revived Roman empire and the purpose of the tribulation as it relates to Luke 21:24.

Read Zechariah 1 and 12

Realizing that Zechariah 12:2 this is apostolic phrase, explain the significance of this prophecy as it relates to Jerusalem. Additional ref to Zechariah 1:12-16.

WEEK NINE: Jerusalem, Garden of Eden


Research:  Garden of Eden as it relates to Jerusalem.  Source:  Orthodox Jewish writings/commentary; include research from templeinstitute.org

Demonstrate/prove that the Garden of Eden is Jerusalem.  Notice the definition of ‘the holy mountain of God” Daniel 9:16 and 20

Do a study on that phrase, “holy mountain of God,” in the Old Testament as it relates to the Garden of Eden.  I.E. Ezekiel 28:14, 16.

Using Zechariah 14:1-5 and Revelation 16:13-16 and 19:11-20 to explain the phrase “campaign of Armageddon” instead of “battle or Armageddon” as it relates to Jerusalem.
