SCOPE OF THE COURSE
Ten class periods will be used to examine the book of Daniel. An outline will be given to the students that will help them understand the purpose of this prophetic book and its contents. Background necessary to understand the book, such as author, addresses, and the occasion of the book will be discussed. The student will also develop an understanding of how these messages help us to determine where we are on God's timeline for the last days.
GOALS
In exams and assignments the students will be expected to:
- Recite the outline given in class.
- Take notes for each session, to be graded by teacher at end of course.
- Be able to explain the importance of God's message to Christian people as it relates to the events of today.
- Identify the author, purpose of writing, and recipients.
- Read all assignments.
ASSIGNMENTS
Reading:
Each student will be required to read the Book of Daniel two times and read “The Most High God” by Renald Showers prior to completion of this course.
Paper:
Paper to be submitted at completion of course. The length of the final paper at the end of the course will be given to you by the instructor at time of course

FINAL PROJECT (25 percent)
Develop a timeline, in a ten page paper setting the sequence of events in Daniel, chronologically. Include both Scriptural and historical references to support this line.
FINAL EXAMINATION (25 percent) (Student may be exempt by maintaining an "A" average on deliverables and final project.)
The final examination will be open book and the questions used will be taken directly from the weekly Study Questions.
